SPLASH!
(JUBILEE HALL, ALDEBURGH 2012)

"SPLASH! was a complete triumph, such infinite variety and range of surprising and original acts. One felt sad as each one ended and was always awaiting the next on the edge of ones seat! Cabaret at its finest. We absolutely loved it."
— AUDIENCE MEMBER

A benefit for Wonderful Beast took place on 31 March 2012, with a cast of eighteen superb artists who gave their enthusiastic support to the company. The show raised money towards a weekend festival of storytelling performances, Storm of Stories, staged in October 2012.  Our hope is that this pilot festival will be the first of many ‘Storms’ to come.

"Delighted to catch "Splash" recently which was another joyful evening. The weekend of storytelling sounds a great idea. Spread the word. There has to be more of your kind of creativity promoted everywhere and to all ages. High standards and bewitching ideas." — ANNE GRAY

"Wonderful Beast's Splash was marvellous! Magical, mesmerising and full of variety. The company's concentration on story-telling makes it unique in the region, and possibly in the country. The entire audience - many of whom would not normally have gone to the theatre - were entranced. This is a theatre company like no other, and should be cherished." — CRAIG BROWN

"WONDERFUL BEAST so brilliantly lives up to its name. It is a vibrant and energetic company which has the highest ambitions and miraculously attains the heights. To bring such talents and joy to the wider community and especially to children is work of real love. It is a bright light in a naughty world." -- LIZ CALDER

"The Wonderful Beast is aptly named. it is a collection of surprises, stunning shapes of story, song, and it is all heart. It is of our community but like all good beasts roams wide and brings us back the best from everywhere. Its vision and its reach are truly imaginative and inclusive. In times of hard financial choices it should be supported because it brings glee, and everyone knows happiness and laughter make for health so it saves, & could save, the nhs, squillions." — WENDY MULLFORD

"SPLASH! - A wonderful evening of entertainment - full of stories, songs, dance and much more. Comical, engaging, thoughtful and thoroughly delightful - something for everyone and all ages!" — ROSIE ANDERSEN
