"Fantastic! witty, moving, inspirational — please bring it back" — Juliet Stephenson, actor

Yes is a celebration of the life and work of Adrian Mitchell, one of our best loved, funny, passionate and political poets who was also a founder member of Wonderful Beast. This programme of his poems and songs was commissioned by The Poetry Trust and premiered to a sell-out audience at the 2009 Aldeburgh Poetry Festival. A triumphant, anarchic synthesis of words, jazz and rock-n-roll.

"Magnificent - it brought all the magic and joy of Adrian's work to life. It was as entertaining and moving as he always was." — Robert Herries

"An evening to remember for both performers and audience." — Susie Bailey

"Mitchell's irrepressible love of life and his commitment to peace resonated loud and clear through the voices of his family and friends. Mitchell once remarked: "My poetry likes to say yes." How fitting, then, that over a year after his death, his poetry is saying yes more resolutely than ever." — Ashley Smith, The Poetry Society

"Great stuff! It's many a year since I enjoyed an evening so much." —Vernon Rose
