Storm of Stories 2016, A Fairy Tale Festival For All Ages was Wonderful Beast’s third celebration of myths, legends, folk and fairy tales and it was brought to life by world-class artists and members of the community, through theatre, opera, storytelling, music, dance, and visual art. It took place in Leiston and Aldeburgh and provided opportunities and events for a wide age range, from interactive performances for babies and early years, an opera involving school children and students, workshop activities and storytelling for families, to performances of fairy tales for grown-ups by storytellers from the legendary Crick Crack Club. The festival was rounded off with comic tales told in broad Suffolk in an informal entertainment with step dancing and traditional music. Throughout the weekend there were free art workshops, impromptu music and readings of favourite tales in Story Corner.
