| Wonderful Beast collaborated with Indian dance company, Beeja, in a two week R and D workshop. The aim was to explore new ways of telling stories, mixing the traditional South Indian baratanatyam classical dance forms with our own western storytelling techniques. We looked at a selection of stories ranging from the touching Little Ida to the dark and terrifying Auntie Toothache. This culminated in a work in progress performance to the director and creative team at BAC and to fellow artists and funders. Two productions followed: The Will O' the Wisps and The Swineherd and The Princess and the Pea.
